നവോത്ഥാനത്തിലും ദേശീയ സമരത്തിലും സർഗ്ഗാത്മകമായ പങ്ക് നിർവ്വഹിച്ച ചരിത്രമാണ് കേരളത്തിലെ മാധ്യമങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളത്. എന്നാൽ ,ഏതാനും വർഷങ്ങളായി അവയിൽ പലതും കോർപ്പറേറ്റ് സാമ്രാജ്യത്വത്തിൻ്റെ വക്താക്കളായിരിക്കുന്നു. അതിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായി ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിലവിലുള്ള ആർ.എസ്.എസ്. മതരാഷ്ട്രവാദി സർക്കാരിനെ സംരക്ഷിക്കാനുള്ള തന്ത്രങ്ങളാണ് അവർ ആവിഷ്ക്കരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. മതരാഷ്ട്രവാദി സർക്കാരിന്റെ ഭീകരത അനുഭവിക്കുന്ന ജനങ്ങളെ

ആർ.എസ്.എസിനു വേണ്ടി, അവരുടെ കണ്ണിലെ കരടായി തീർന്ന കേരളസർക്കാരിനേയും അതിൻ്റെ നായകനെയും എതിർത്തു തോൽപ്പിക്കാമെന്ന കരാറിലേർപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കയാണ് ഒരു വിഭാഗം മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ. ഒന്നാം പിണറായി സർക്കാരിനെതിരെ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന കള്ളപ്രചരണങ്ങളും നിർമ്മിത വ്യാജവാർത്തകളും കേരളം മറന്നിട്ടില്ല. അതിനുള്ള മറുപടിയാണ് കേരളം ഇടതുപക്ഷത്തിനു നൽകിയ ചരിത്രവിജയം. വലതുപക്ഷത്തെ മാത്രമല്ല; വലതുപക്ഷത്തെ നയിച്ചിരുന്ന ഒരു വിഭാഗം മാധ്യമങ്ങളെ കൂടി വെല്ലുവിളിച്ചു കൊണ്ടാണ് ജനങ്ങൾ മുന്നോട്ടു പോയത്. ചില പത്ര, ചാനലുകളുടെ അളിഞ്ഞ മുഖം അന്നു ലോകം കണ്ടു.
ഇപ്പോഴിതാ അതേ നാടകങ്ങളുമായി മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ രംഗത്തു വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു. 2021ലെ പരാജയത്തിൽ നിന്നുൽഭവിച്ച തീരാപ്പകയുമായി എല്ലാ മാന്യതയും കൈവെടിഞ്ഞ് കലിതുള്ളി സമൂഹത്തിൻ്റെ മുമ്പാകെ അപഹാസ്യരായി നിൽക്കുകയാണ് വലതു മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ. കള്ളക്കടത്തു കേസിലെ പ്രതികൾ തമ്മിൽ ഗൂഡാലോചന നടത്തി വിളിച്ചു പറഞ്ഞ പച്ചക്കള്ളങ്ങൾ തങ്ങളുടെ വക മേമ്പൊടികൾ ചേർത്തു വിളമ്പിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ് അവർ. മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയെ മാത്രമല്ല; അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളേയും അപമാനിക്കാൻ ചില മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ മാനം വെടിഞ്ഞ് മുന്നിൽ നിന്നു. ഏറ്റവും ഉൽകൃഷ്ടമായ, ജനാധിപത്യത്തിൻ്റെ നാലാംതൂണായി കരുതപ്പെടുന്ന മാധ്യമരംഗത്ത് , ഇന്ന് ഒരു പിടി ആർ.എസ്.എസ്. അടിമകളായ ജേർണലിസ്റ്റുകളുടെ ഇടപെടൽ മൂലം പരക്കെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നു. ജേർണലിസ്റ്റ് എന്നത് കേരളത്തിൽ മാന്യമല്ലാത്ത ഒരു വിശേഷണമാക്കാനാണ് അവരുടെ നീക്കം.
മാധ്യമങ്ങളും വലതുപക്ഷ / മതവർഗ്ഗീയ രാഷ്ട്രീയവും നടത്തുന്ന കള്ള പ്രചരണങ്ങളെ കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രബുദ്ധ ജനസമൂഹം അപ്പോഴപ്പാൾ തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ മാധ്യമരംഗത്തെ ജീർണ്ണ സംസ്കാരത്തിലേക്കു നയിക്കുന്ന പ്രവണതയെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യാതിരിക്കാനാവില്ല. നിരന്തരം കള്ളപ്രചരണങ്ങൾ നടത്തി സ്വയം വിശ്വാസ്യത നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന മാധ്യമങ്ങൾ ഒരു സാംസ്കാരിക വിഷയമാണെന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ കരുതുന്നു. മാധ്യമങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസ്യത ജനാധിപത്യവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടുകിടക്കുന്നു.
